I’m Lara Williams, a trained Life Coach who runs two businesses to fit around my two children, Max and Maisy, and my partner Steve.  My first business, and my greatest  passion,  is Lara Williams Coaching, which was set up to support young people to overcome negative thinking and achieve their potential.  My second business is providing Health and Weight Loss support as consultant for a large international weight management company.

Whilst I get to meet new people in my work, I also spend large amounts of time by myself in my office writing blogs, working on my book and designing workshops (both my children are now at school :( ).  This can be really lonely, so towards the end of 2009 I began attending networking events, not only to try and find new business, but to meet other like minded business owners.  Earlier this year I met Joanne Dewberry ofNetworking Mummies. I had been networking with Joanne and her business partner Laura Morris, by email but didn’t get to meet with her in person, until I attended a Networking Mummies workshop in April.  In the short space of time in which I have known Joanne, I have attended two Networking Mummies workshops, delivered by successful female entrepreneurs, attended a podcasting workshop delivered by group member Darren Toms, and gained valuable contact details for producers from BBC Radio Solent.  I cannot praise Networking Mummies enough, for me it is the best networking group in Dorset!

It was only natural that when my daughter Maisy turned seven last week, I would support Joanne’s  business, Charlie Moo’s, by purchasing her unique fabric party bags for Maisy and her little friends.   The girls loved them, but their parents were even more impressed!  The quality of the bags is fantastic.  If your having a children’s party, check out Charlie Moo’s party bags, you won’t be disappointed.  And if your a business owner in Dorset, make sure you check out Networking Mummies, and get involved with a friendly group that genuinely supports each other.
